I am not sure just how this works. Consequently this first post will be short and succinct.

I obviously hope that I can find my blog, work on it on a daily basis. So let's see what happens.

Seems to work OK. I will just have to figure out how to use it, so that it has the appearance of literacy. I have tried to change the template without success. Damn!!.

A couple of things going on in my life that are important to me at this time.

First and foremost is that I am once again on a journey to lose weight. Two weeks ago I started on the Nutrisystem diet. I weighed 219 lbs . . . . By far the heaviest I have ever weighed. Today that weight is 212, so there is some onward movement.!

Secondly, in just under 13 weeks, I will be leaving on what has long been a dream/desire of mine. I will be taking a freighter cruise to the Mediterranean. The ship is the CMA CGM Arno. I will leave the port of Miami on April 22, 2006 and will travel to Cagliari, Sardinia, Livorno and Genoa in Italy, Marseille, France, Valencia, Spain. Lisbon, Portugal rounds out the European section of this voyage. Then it is back to the United States. I will arrive in New York City on May 22nd, then on to Norfolk, VA, Savannah, GA and back to Miami on May 27th. I am looking forward to this trip immensely. I will be sailing without my wife who has declined . . . . thinks she would get too bored with all those days at sea. Now let's see if I can import a picture of the ship. Well, I did, but just not in the right place. That is the ship in the upper left of this entry.
